GuJuMaN89 Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Is CyberPower a good brand for a battery backup? i was looking at APC, but i want around 500Watts backup for around $
aaronamd Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 NO!!!111 cyberpower sucks @ss ! do NOT skimp on backups it will come back to you in the end. I had a cyberpower that tool so long to switch to battery that the computer would SHUT OFF before it finished. It then decided to melt. I then decided to buy a nice apc 1500 RS best thing I EVER did battery backup wise. this things powers two computers both at full load for 10mins. one is in sig, the other is a server athlon 2600+.while doing this it also powers router and cable modem. gives me enough time to warm up generator and switch house over to that without turning the comps off. DECwakeboarder Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Mine will make it at least 10 minutes with 2 computers on it and one CRT. APC all the way, I *used to* work for State Farm and we used APC UPSs in all of our equipment.
