Choosing Between 2 6800s

Recommended Posts

Since I ripped a transistor off my 9800 pro I am going to buy me a new and better vid card.

I found these 2 on newegg and since my mobo dosn't support PCI Express x16 I am stuck with agp which dosn't bother me to much.

Heres the first one:

XFX PVT40KND Geforce 6800 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150068

This card is $215 with a $30 mail in rebate making it $185

The Second Card I found is:

eVGA 128-A8-N343-AX Geforce 6800 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130202

This Card is $189

This is the last card:

GIGABYTE GV-N68128DH Geforce 6800 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814125142

This Card is $197.00. the one reason I don't know about this card is that it dosn't have a fan and I just don't know about that.

My price limit is $200 bucks cause at the same time I am having to buy a new cooling system for my Processor and case. (stock cooling for prescott sucks and case fans are loud.)

My Specs are

P4 3.4 ghz Prescott HT

2 gb Ram

Aspire X-Dreamer II

ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe

Which of the three card are the best and if all of them suck what would be the best AGP 8x card for about $200.

Thanks.

I would get the eVGA or gigabyte...the eVGA is great, and the gigabyte keeps cool AND silent, ive heard great things about thoes cards....just not as good for OCing bc of the lack of fan (an 80mm blowing on it would prob fix that if you needed it though....

The Evga looks the best in my opinion too. thanks for the fast responce. I would save a little more to get an even better card but right now I am having to use my old Nivida Geforce 4 Mx420 lol. I can't even play bf2 on that :( so I am in need of a new card. thanks for the help

Since the cards are all similar, I would choose on (in this order):

1) Reputation for reliability and ease of RMA if necessary.

2) Superior cooling setup

3)Price

4) Cool looking/bundle of useless old games
