LoArmistead Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 OK got some pictures of the 67 impala SS. They were working on it so these aren't glamour shots, this will just give yall an idea. Here's a little history behind it. Dad bought it in 1990 from an old couple (original owners) that never drove it. The Imapala had 50,000 original miles on it, everything stock. When we moved to NC from Texas, dad decided he wanted to get it restored, since it was...acting like an old car. So we take it in to Rod Crafters in Welcome, NC and they began working on it over a year ago. Now it is in the final stages and should be out of the warehouse within the next couple of weeks. Basically what we did was tear it down to the chassis. We kept original panels since they were in good shape, powder coated the entire body to prevent future rust. Bought all new...everything. We traded out the original 283 engine and replaced it with a 502/502 big block. Put some custom wheels, tires on it. Hotchkis suspension, either gibson or flowmaster (cant remember) hi-performance exhaust, i'll post a whole list later. Anywho, shes a bit dusty now, but here's some pics. GTSticky Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 That's a sweet ride! Don't forget to add seat belts and headrests so you don't die in some 20MPH collision. 1967 Cars != Safe

However, I think if this car were involved in a 20MPH collision, the car on the other end of the wreck would feel it more than we would
Puck Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 That car is awesome! I'm really into the late 60's/early 70s cars. Looks great and I'm sure its fast as hell - a 502 has gobs of torque!

It will stay in the small town car shows we have around here so it can definitely stand out
