Unable To Change Multiplier

Recommended Posts

I am not gonna be able to change my multiplier? I have the A7N8X board which used to allow me to change my multiplier with my 2600+. For my 3000+ 400fsb chip the bios is READING 12.5 multiplier @200 which should give me 2.5 ghz speed. But cpu z is reporting only 10.5 for the multiplier. Am I forgetting sumpin?

Thanks!! :foldon:

Any bartons past week 37 will have their multipliers locked. So your old 2600 was probably old enough to be unlocked, but your new chip sounds like it's locked. This is very normal.
