LoArmistead Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Gah that is so tempting....I've purchased three D-Link products in that time period... but that just shows how easy it is to jump on the bandwagon. Doing this would violate everything I stand for lol <_< so I can't! gahh! ...call the law offices of James Sokolove now! OptikaliLLusion Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I'd do it but the DWL-G510 I bought in June and I have no idea what the suit is about.
computergee Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Dlink stated that its wireless products got speeds up to 11mbps or 22mbps, but that included all the protacols and crap so it wasnt 22mbps of user files that people thought it was. So basicly its false advertising (sorda).
OptikaliLLusion Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Well, my router and card seem to perform rather poorly in terms of signal strength. I mean abnormally poorly. When I had my 802.11b router, AirPort, in the exact same location as the current one, I got a good signal. Now I get Low, Very Low, or No Signal. I'm filing a claim too, jerks ripped me off. markiemrboo Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Nice find! Does it only apply to people in America, because I have two of the products in that list (looks like their whole product line really ) EDIT: Phft, only for people in the US. Oh well... OptikaliLLusion Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Wow, D-Link's sly. I doubt anybody who bought something in 2000 still has THE BLOODY RECEPIT (if you don't have the serial #).
computergee Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 The serial number is on the back of the router (or other thing) so if you still have the product you should be able to get it. Ya unfortunatly its only for people in the US.
