delamar Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I was thinking of getting the DFI LanParty nF4 SLi-DR or the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLi-D Whats the difference? Is there a better mobo??
martymcfly Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 not sure of the difference, but I know that the DFI lanparty nf4s are the best. I thing the UT is better.
dlb0809 Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 i believe the only difference is that one just has a flashier paint job with UV reactive compnents or paint or somethin. but i would definately reccomend either of these DFI boards. they're the best
bigred Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 no the R designates an additional SIL raid controller... that's it.
martymcfly Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 what is the difference between the lanparty and lanparty UT series?
Nerm Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 either one of those mobos will be the best SLI boards. The difference between the lanparty and lanparty UT series is basically what someone mentioned before is has UV capabilities so it just looks cooler. I think the UT series may have a few more bios options as well over the regular lanparty series, but am not 100% sure on that. Dr_Frankenstein Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 aparrantly the Asus A8N Delux is one of the top SLI boards as its pcix slots are farther apart so its easiers to add aftermarket cooling to ya sli cards and is top on features the DFI boards just overclock a bit better i would opt for the asus as its about

dlb0809 Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 how can a board's slots be further apart?? i've never figured this one out. i mean if they were further then they wouldnt line up with the holes on the back of the case, lol!! somebody correct me if i'm wrong here
martymcfly Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 (edited) cases usually have extra holes. and the board may have less PCI slots, rearranged pci-e 1x (or 4x , cant remember) slots. Edited July 15, 2005 by martymcfly
drago Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Difference? the ut version of SLI-DR gives u all the other extra gear such as, a carry bag.. all that stuff. DFI = best for overclocking.. infact best board ever made, plz argue with me. ASUS SLI = good, until u overclock *from expierence at a friends*
