lilkev715 Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 (edited) http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=24544 The photo looks like it was taken from a shipping area of AMD's distribution center here in the USA. How long has Socket A CPU's been around? I think around 6 years back to the old Athlon and Duron days. sYstEmATiC Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 i know they arent at the top anymore but there isnt a game that exists that my ancient 2500+ and 9800pro cant handle. i may not be able to use high graphics settings but it plays good enough for me to school people with 3500+ rigs LOL. Verran Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hehe, the people who are still holding those unlocked bartons probably still love socket A. Those 2500+'s doing 2.5-2.7ghz still just blow me away. Meanwhile, people like me that have the later week locked versions won't miss them quite as much
