oralpain Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 There are mosfets all over your (and almost every other) mother baord. They are part of the power regualtion. They are the little black squarish things with (useually) three bare metal conenctors coming out of one side then going down to the board. Some of them may have heatsinks. sykocus Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 google has some pictures of them. you can find some heat sinks here http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/se=System%20...enu_search.html about half way down the page.
spyware Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 You can cut up some small heatsinks(bga type)and use thermal epoxy, or grease and a drop of glue on the corner.I put clear nail polish on the metal connectors to ensure no shorts.
