alright, I've had my 3000+ venice for a few days and have read that it is fairly easy to overclock them to 3500+ speeds. that is my goal, the only problem is that I only know how to overclock old socket 462 stuf....

could someone be kind and explain all this htt ,external clock etc. just tell me how to overclock it like a beast!

My system is as follows....

MSI K8N NEO2 Plat.

AMD 3000+ venice 512kb of cache

512 mb of generic crap ram pc3200 speed

5900XT (peice of sh|t I know, soon to be a 6800 when I have 150$)

a mixed IDE and SATA raid 0( I know about sata ports 1&2, I'm using 3 for it.)

EDIT: almost forgot, I have a zalman 7000 on the processor.

HTT is essentially your fsb. What is your RAM rated for? If is cheap PC3200, you'll definitely need to setup a divider. Anyway, it's pretty much like OCing a 462. Up your HTT bit by bit. Increase voltage when necessary. Make sure you familiarize yourself with all your boards options before hand

I disagree with invader here, it is NOT like OCing an AXP/P4 it's quite different, considering the HTbus not liking to be over 1000 x 2 in most systems (200("fsb") x 5(HT multiplier) default) I'll send you a little guide that might help you adjust.
