Nedlinin Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 lol not sure why you want a time server... but it works fine for me sets time correctly and everything for me
Mister_Webmaster Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 If you go into your Windows Date/Time manager, and click on the Internet time tab. you'll see a list of servers you can use. I would recommend time.nist.gov. Another option is to use Atomic Clock Sync. I use that on older computers or computers that won't work with NTP (Network Time Protocol)
asus Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 haha.. lol.. ya.. i know.. but why do that, when i can do it myself ?? lol.. :-) i know.. i just love this stuff..
Mister_Webmaster Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I actually have Atomic Clock Sync running on my server keeping my local NTP server atomically correct
asus Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 well.. cool.. i just did that to. :-) so now, if you use my time server, its atomically correct i guess lol.. even thought mine was only ahead by 3 seconds lol..

Why let someone/something else do it when you can make it happen yourself? It's a geek thing....

It's a geek thing.... 501930[/snapback] yes it is.. but im just glad it working.. because i cant really test it myself because i have all my computes connected to my domain, and they get the time automatically from there lol
sykocus Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 why does my time need to be anatomically correct?
Mister_Webmaster Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 no, but the geekness in us makes us check out computer clocks rather than our watches. It's nice to alawys be atomically on time.
