rustyzipper Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 new guy here(not with computers, the forums!) what does bios rom checksum error mean? i got this message after MSI live update said my drivers were out of date and asked if i wanted to update. i clicked on yes and this error message is what was on my screen after reboot. connot get into bios, cannot reset cmos,no safemode, nothing!!!!!!!! this is a brand new k7n2 delta2 motherboard and i would hate to think that msi has a software issue that borked my board. i still have the asus board that i've never had any problems with. so, is it DEAD?????? bigred Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 if you don't unplug it from the wall... pulling the battery won't do any good. unplug this thing. hit the powre button a few times to make sure you don't have ANY residual charge. then pull the battery. GuJuMaN89 Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 well most people would be smart enough not to pull a battery out of a powered mobo, but thats just me :/
