N00b Question

Im gonna be building a new system soon and im gonna go with the dfi sli-dr and i want to 2GB of ram. woudl it be better of me to get:

2GB of (2x1GB) or 2-3-2-5

2 of the 1GB (1x512MB)? 2-2-2-5

Two 1GB dimms will be faster than four 512MB dimms.

 

With four dimms you have to run T2 command rate, wich is even more of a hit than going from 2-2-2 to 3-4-4 at T1 command rate.

 

Defiantly get the 2x1GB.

Yup, 4 ram sticks usually is harder to overclock aswell, not to mention draws more power. 2 x 1GB all the way.

2 sticks is better than four, especially for OCing. Less points of failure.
