martymcfly Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 on google earth, it shows the object's elevation as 16 feet, as opposed to its surroundings' 20 feet.
Dasterdly Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 No idea what it is, could just be a glitch, but it is perfectly round, if hazy. Edit: Could be a plane coming into approach at the airport that's nearby. On that link for the Area51 guy, he has a pic of a bunch of holes in the ground, and he doesn't know what they are. The are from when we tested nuclear weapons underground.
kurosen Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 well whatever it is, the haze around the object indicates that it is out of focus regarding the camera lens. this could be because the camera was set to focus a bit further down to see the ground more clearly which would indicate that this object was too high for the lens to focus in on correctly... the brighter area on the "bottom" of the object (in quotation because obviously this isn't the bottom but one of it's sides) indicates that the sun is hitting the object in the same way it is hitting the ground as the shadows of the land based objects seem to go in the opposite direction which further proves this. looking at the top of the object, the light converges into darkness gradually which would indicate that it has a bit of height and is probably round... in other words, more like a ball then a disc). Translation: Probably just a high altitude weather balloon, or a UFO shaped like a weather balloon...
