IlliterateJedi Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 (edited) Pardon my ignorance, but OCCT? And uh, what's so special about Folding? Assuming it refers to Folding@Home. And on a slightly different note, is it cool to use your computer while testing it or does this mess things up? road-runner Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 24 hours seems to be the standard. There are different levels of stable though. There is screenshot stable, benchmark stable, and then 24hours stable. and folding stable497266
apostolics Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 yeah if your not folding stable then whats the point. i fount out the hard way after not noticing 3 wu crashing and reseting on me 3/4 of the way through. when they got to a certain point the wus would fail. i ran a bunch of tests and benchies every thing was fine but folding so i went back to stock
r_target Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Pardon my ignorance, but OCCT? OCCT And uh, what's so special about Folding? Assuming it refers to Folding@Home. F@H loads the CPU 100%, but it's not as demanding as Prime95. If it can't Fold, it ain't stable. And on a slightly different note, is it cool to use your computer while testing it or does this mess things up? 499158 Sure, you can use the comp while it's testing. After all, if you're looking for stability, why not torture it to the max.
