With the latest news on the Geforce Fx being only 200+ more points on 3dmarks, which will you buy now? Prices should fall on the9700 when the 500 dollar v-card from nvidia is released. With the FX not being as bold as faibled, will you still pay for the name and 200+ points?

i agree the FX seems to have started falling short of expetations however 3d marks aren't the only reason to buy computer parts. I can't imagin spending thousands of dollors just to for a 3dmark score. the program is a realive comparison of a computers performace.

the quality of rendering that the fx is capable of is pretty impressive by its self. having said, it's still pretty far out of my price range.

i see it like this

at this moment they run both on almost standart mode(chipset, bios, drivers...)

and yet , Nvidia has 200 points more

and then again :

Nvidia brings out more drivers , updates ...

so:

I think Nvidia is best, and is going to keep it that way ...

Well from the reviews of the FX I have read.. I know the card is basicly an "Beta" Card..

I think most will agree, it hasent been very impressive.. It doesnt seem to be the "killer" I was expecting.. so If I had to spend 4 or 500 bucks.. I think I would spend it on ATI.. sorry Nvidia.. Love ya tons.. but.. unless you pull something out of ur butt quick.. its not going to be really worth it...
