Prices should fall on the9700 when the 500 dollar v-card from nvidia is released. With the FX not being as bold as faibled, will you still pay for the name and 200+ points? sykocus Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 i agree the FX seems to have started falling short of expetations however 3d marks aren't the only reason to buy computer parts. I can't imagin spending thousands of dollors just to for a 3dmark score. the program is a realive comparison of a computers performace. the quality of rendering that the fx is capable of is pretty impressive by its self. having said, it's still pretty far out of my price range. I think most will agree, it hasent been very impressive.. It doesnt seem to be the "killer" I was expecting.. so If I had to spend 4 or 500 bucks.. I think I would spend it on ATI.. sorry Nvidia..
