Amd Releasing 400mhz Fsb Processor?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure most of you out there have heard that VIA is upgrading the already pumping KT400 Chipset. The new chipset will be called the KT400A (real original name, isn't it?). The great thing about this chipset (other than it's performance boost) is that this chipset will actually have "official DDR400 support". THat's a nice feature, but is that all the new chipset does for us?? Well no. It also has a feature that is puzzling many in the computer world today. The new KT400A chipset supports a top FSB of 400 MHz (200MHz double pumped). Does this mean that AMD is releasing a processor based on a new FSB, or is this a nifty update for Overclockers? AMD won't talk about any upcoming processors to us at Redwallstudios.com but as soon as we find something out, we'll let you know. Oh yeah, and sorry for the down time at redwallstudios.com. I assure you that the site will be up with some information within a week or less.

Who needs AMD to talk about it?

We knew this information last year.

The Barton chipset will run at 333Mhz (166 doubled), and nVidia said that AMD was planning on releasing a 400Mhz bus.

Old news.

The KT400 chipset couldn't pump out the 400Mhz FDB, so VIA fixed it and caled it the 400A... this we've also known for a while.

Did you just come here to try and plug your site?
