Deciding Between Xeons

I'm lookin at the xeon 3.2 w/1mg L2 (x2) or the 3.0 w/2mg L2 (x2).

 

As you see the slower chip as double the L2. Does the higher frequency outperform the higher L2 at a slightly lower frequency? Most of my work is on dual threaded rendering apps, but I want a cpu that will still give me some zip when I'm running normal apps (like office, quickbooks, etc) (can't really afford the opterons)
