Strange Start Menu Icon, Why?

Recommended Posts

Both my PC and my other (old) PC have WindowsXP Pro Slipstreamed with SP2.

Both had the clock icon, but recently I see my PC doesn't have the clock anymore.

My other old PC has the clock still, and it was the exact same installation of XP PRO SP2 slipstreamed.

I'll look for some icon properties.

Also it looks as if it was explained how to activate the recent documents tab for those of you that don't have it.

Thanks.

XP PRO and HOME both should have the clock, with SP2.

I have not been able to find an option to change it. I searched for a "Recently Viewed Documents" folder and there is no.........though I could change the folder icon that way to the clock.

Weird......not sure how it changed in the first place as I have not altered anything graphically with XP except my screensaver and background.

shortcuts for recently viewed documents are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Recent

I normally don't have that displayed, but turned it on to see and I have the folder. sp2 on pro

Edit: I just turn it off, then on again, and it's the clock now.:blink::lol:

Nah.

R. Click> Properties> Customize (tab)> Change Icon.

On the top, sixth from the left, is the icon you wanted. :thumbs-up:
