kirr45 Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Hey guys! If you look at my specs, I was wondering how much you think I can overclock it. have it already overclocked at 2.4GHz from 2.1GHz. When I turn it on it will boot, the next time I turn on the computer it will not boot. It says system fail due to cpu overclocking. But all I have to do is restart the computer then it will boot again. It continues the pattern over and over. It doesn't crash and keep restarting if that is what is sounds like. When it does boot it is as solid and stable as a rock.
NoNothing Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 is cool and quiet turned off in your bios? that could cause the restarts, and you should eb able to hit around 2.

Nerm Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 lol, he is saying your chip should be able to OC to about 2.5ghz without a problem. Turn off Cool & Quiet. What are all your specs? timings, HTT, multi, voltages, etc?

What are all your specs? timings, HTT, multi, voltages, etc? 485550[/snapback] I turned off the Cool 'n Quiet which solved the error on bootup problem. I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe with an AMD 3500+ and 1GB PC4000 Geil memory. The multiplier is at 10.5 and HTT is at 229. Running at 2.4GHz from a 2.21 and as for the voltages, I think it is 1.5 or 1.75. The Asus board locks the voltage. I overclocked my Nvidia 6600GT to 500. Also, can you guys help me with another thing. I was thinking of watercooling and was considering the Thermmaltake Big Water but I don't know if I couldfit it in my Thermaltake Tsunami case. Here is a link to the BigWater http://www.thermaltake.com/watercooling/cl...er/cl-w0005.htm Thanks for the help guys
bdylyzsouless Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 I wouldn't buy a tt watercooling product. They're kinda crap. You should look at Asetek kits or Swiftech kits.

delamar Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Greetings I have just install the thermaltake Big Water kit and i think its excellent. If you look at the reviews it keeps up with the bigger named brands in water cooling, and has the advantage of looking neat aswell. Its very easy to install (my radiator is outside the box). One more advantage is that its about half the price of the other brands. Delamar
