Radio check the ORB lol that is in 05. Find me a single card that gets 10.6k in 05 and if you find me one that scores that at stock speeds I will give you my rig lol. The highest 05 score on record is Shamino's at 14.6k.

That's wierd, I thought that they'd push a lot more, but that still pretty good.

BTW nerm, did he have 2 6800U ?

Where they overclocked or something ? Because 10.6k seems a bit low for 2 freakin cards..!

Some people get that score with 1 card man...Come on..

UHHHHHH...... I think you might be thinking 3dmark03 there. This is 3dmark05 we're talking about, not 03.

If you think 10.6 is low, then what about 2 6800U in SLI mode scoring 9.3 with a 4000+?

I think the more important point is:

Regardless of what the actual numbers are, if ATI can release Crossfire with the ability to use 2 DIFFERENT cards AND it out performs the NVs flagship vs flagship...Nvidia is in trouble.

Thing is, this test doesn't really tell us that though. We have no idea what the setup was, if it was OC'd, etc...Also, lets not forget that the x850XTPE is a $650 card...about $200 more than a 6800U.

When the new generation cards come out, AND it's decided the new ATI MBs aren't crap, AND Crossfire is actually released...then we will know.

Nvidia is already spanked. I'm sure the cards were stock(think about regular single card x850xt vs 6800u benches) and they pulled ahead from sli. The new ati drivers coming out soon will just put the icing on the cake.

You cant compare the 6800u and x850xt prices either, because the x850xt is waaay beyond the 6800u. A more fair comparison in price would be the x800xt vs 6800u, not the x850xtpe. With such a commanding lead of course the x850xtpe will be more money :P

Well for the ppl who dropped the cash on SLI setups the have the best, they can prob afford to do this and again get the best, but for thoes of us still back on AGP, I wonder how well these setups with lower model cards (maybe x800pros?) would be capable of doing. It could really help ppl that have some money to afford one good card now, then can afford a different better card later or lower end card with their high end card now. the mixing of cards idea seems to me as the extra slap in nVidia's face....

Yeah so most of that was random ramblings, but like it has been said before, by the time we know if it's a hit or a flop we'll be seeing the next gen options and wondering about that (aka we know SLI is soso now were looking ahead to ATI and Crossfire)
