cchalogamer Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Can you say that in English....my god read what you typed.... but if it's the same model and brand switching all the other stuff to the other board would be the best idea (or if it has simplar features and will work with CPU, ram etc)
cybergrunt69 Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Just wondering how you got a board without a bios chip - are you sure it's the bios chip that's missing and not a unfilled IC socket for an optional component? Either way, yes, you can put in a new BIOS chip, but it's a highly-specific chip, and it must be for a specific mobo make/model with the right feature set. If the CPU is dead, yes you can put in a new one. The mobo specs should tell you the max cpu speeds it can handle. What kind of mobo and cpu are you working with? nightsider Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 thay are diffrent mobos trust me when i say the bios chips look the same size but my only problame is that the working mobo is old skool ie no vega on bord and the nakerd one has vaga onbord i now it is the bios coz my sis removed it and shredded the pins so ive been looking for areplacement thay are both socket 7 cpu's

cybergrunt69 Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I really hate to be the spelling nazi, but could you please make at least an effort to make your post(s) readable ? please? I don't mean you need to write like an English Major, just try to make it normal English. There's a lot of people here that would be more than happy to help you, but if they can't read it, they will completely ignore it....
