Hey all,

I am about to reinstall XP, and I have many songs that I ripped from my CDs, and I would like to create a partition just for those songs so that when I reinstall, I won't lose them. Is there a program that can create NTFS partitions ? I did a search and I only found appz for Linux and others...

v-comm's "partition commander" does about 40 different format styles. ntfs, fat, reiserfs, ext3, and on and on.

i have used it for a year or 2 and it has always worked for me. the only thing it gets kinda weird about is resizing ntfs, but creating a new one is easy enough.

As far as I know, it's impossible to resize an NTFS partition anyway :)

Partition Magic can do this.... I have used it for a few years now and never had an issue....

It is not free. but it is one of the few pieces of software that is worth every penny

Partition Magic is my favorite for partition work. And yes, several apps can resize NTFS partitions. Windows itself can resize partitions - but only to make them bigger, you'll need other apps to shrink them.
