peshewah Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 I found my temps in bios running 43c. I downloaded Mobo Monitor and it was way too complicated for a dum butt like me to sit up. Anyway, I think my temps are running alittle high for a 90nm, Thermalright XP90 w/ Artic Silver 5 on it. What do ya think? Should I re-apply the AS5 or am I getting a bad reading from my Neo2? It is really hard to remove the heatsink so I would rather not, but I would like to know my true tempature. Can ya help an old dum bastard like myself? noseeme Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 43 degrees C should be fine if that is at full load, for an extended period of time.

peshewah Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 I don't remember the brand but it was what was reccomended by Thermalright at a little higher rate of out put.

Thank you for your time and your response.
kobalt Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Best way is to get a thermal probe (like compunurse) they're usually pretty accurate but just to be on the safe side test it then stick it on the base of your HS as close to the chip as possible. RadioActivated Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Why not ? I think it'll help. BTW How much Thermal Paste are you putting on there ?

Overclockersdream Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Follow these instructions to apply just the right amount of thermalpaste. too much thermal would cause a lot of heat retention. http://www.articsilver.com/arctic_silver_i...tions_small.htm
