guzzidom Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 (edited) I don't think anyones answering because to the best of my knowledge none of the drivers actually affect how far you can overclock as such, some perform a little better than others with different cards and in various games/applications, it's really just a case of downloading a few and experimenting in whatever benchmarks you are using. Your overclock is more dependent upon your memory type and rated headroom, GPU core temperature etc. the best way to give your card more go would be to cool it with an aftermarket cooler some heatsinks and paste and (if brave) volt mod it to put a little extra current into your memory chips and hopefully allow them to clock even higher. Bear in mind doing all this could easily cost you $40.00 and you would be lucky to get your 3dmark '03 score from, say, 5500 to 6200 even if everything goes well (if it doesn't you've got a dead $100 card and a useless pile of cooling kit!). EDIT; sorry I just re-read your post and you've got aftermarket cooling already, Voltmod time methinks!! alown Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 i agree with him. and if you want to be risky youy could perhaps flash you 9700 pro to a 9800.
