Bleeble Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Go with the DFI mobo. Chances are his video card isn't that great, so try for the 6600GT (but I could be wrong). How's the cooling with that case? Are you going to use the stock cooler? It might be worth a few bucks for AS5, that can bring temps down even with stock coolers. Aeromun Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 (edited) well money is the limitng factor for the 6600.If he has enough money,Yes i recommend to him to pay extra an go with dfi and the 6600. I dont know about the cases cooling, i just gave him the case link on newegg and told him to pick something he liked,hehe.But i will use the HSF that comes with the proc, and then ill use some as5 i have from my system. EDIT:I checked the case, it has 4 80mm fan holes so it should be fine plus i think the psu has 2 fans...plenty of cooling for a plain high performance system.. Well, everything looks good to me. Just push for the DFI mobo and 6600GT, the extra money will be worth it, for both performance and upgradeability. And if you're looking to save money and not planning to OC, you might be able to find cheaper low-latency RAM than that (maybe, I didn't look).
