red930 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 with the new pricing for this add in card, i am a little astonished by its pricing point. $300 for a card that really has to be parred with another card that will be probably 100 or more for most people. that is a steep price for such a non essential item. who would pay that amount? i dont think it will make that much of a difference in the performance or quality of the game. What if you buy a game that requires this item? i think some people would be mad if they bought a $500 graphics card and then had to chuck another $300 for an add in card just to play thier games. i hope after a few months, mobo makers can start to incorporate this technology into the mobo's at an affordable price. here is a link to the article: http://techreport.com/onearticle.x/8348
gunak87 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Aw man. I've been looking forward to this technology, but I didn't expect it to be so expensive. Looks like I'll probably pay for it, but it'd better be really freaking awesome.
