hYbrid Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Last time I checked mobiles were 333fsb but apparently they have been moved to 266. So at this point im wondering will a mobo with a 333/400 fsb run the 266fsb mobiles? If not can anyone recommend a good mobo combo for a mobile. Or if their is any proc better for ocing on 32bit(do not recoomend 64bit, I dont plan on getting it for awhile) machine please mention it. Thanks for any help in advance. hYbrid Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Would you by chance be able to provide a link to buy either of those, cannot find them via newegg or pricewatch for some reason 0_o. And if anyone can answer my question earlier about the 266fsb being compatible with a 333/400fsb mobo I would appreciate it. Thanks again for any help. bigred Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 they are going to be tough to find. dfi stopped making them (as did most mobo makers) especially considering socket A is now 2 generations back and yes you chip will work FINE
hYbrid Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 "and yes you chip will work FINE" Does that mean 266 works with 333/400 lol? Thanks for the help again ^_^
bigred Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 if a motherboard supports 333/400mhz fsb (actually 1/2 of that) then it'll do 266 (aka 133mhz) without a problem.
