Abit Still The Best?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to buy a new motherboard for my s478 system in the next couple of weeks. I just wanted to know if ABIT is still good at s478 boards? I'm looking at the IC7-G/MAXII.

Basically, I am fed-up to my teeth with this horrible ASUS board and want out of it.

I still want to go AMD64 later this year or early next, but now I'm planning on building a completely new system for it. Need something to hold me over.

yea. I like the IC7. but it has been long time since it came out. Don't buy Asus! Buy MSI or Abit. I love Abit because the board looks nice and their software are pretty good. I especially like the Abit Flashmenu. A noob like me can flash BIOS through Windows. Never fails.

Well, I already have an ASUS and I hate the thing with every fibre of my being. Not buying another one, don't worry about that. :P

I would also like some inside info on any of ABIT's build quality issues, cos I know very well that ASUS cuts a lot of corners when it comes to build quality.

abit is cutting MORE corners than ever now. infact if you think Asus is bad, you're in for an even bigger let down. Abit is part of the same company as ECS...

suggestion is to go with a DFI lanparty or infinity i865 or i875. any of those 4 boards are top of the line and fast. they're also very reliable and extremely overclockable.

I think Abit mobo has changed so so much. like the really old ones were ok then came the IS7 and IC7 and the NF7. which are really good. But now i've seen their products and looks like crap. But i still love my NF7 and IS7. gonna buy eiher Abit or MSI in near future. Most likely MSI.

MSI is the company i trust the most. amke pretty good Video cards and Mobos.
