like hard disks = c and d

and cdrom = e and f

right now i have a c(hard) d(dvdrw) e(dvdrw)

Assuming you're using WinXP, go into 'computer manager -> disk management' and right-click on the drive(s) you want to change, and click 'change drive letter and paths'

You might have to give some a temp letter so you can free up the ones you want to use. Also, you might break some apps if they have a drive letter hard coded in their setup (ex: games or other apps that have a cdrom drive letter assigned)
