computergee Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I came across this sofware while reading PC World Magazine. It creates a virtual file system on top of your gmail account. Letting you drag and drop files between your computer and gmail. I always used gmail to store files, this just makes it a heck alot easier check it out. http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm It has some bugs but its still very useful. gravy Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 yeah, it works, but you are still limited to the 10Mb file attachment size

jammin Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Yeah, also been using it for a while. 10mb limit is a little irritating, but as long as you remember to chunk large files up there's no problem.
ClayMeow Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 yeah, this is old news. the 10mb limit annoys me as well. Not their fault though, it's google's attachment limit.
Jezza Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 I can't seem to load anything with more than 10 characters in filename length? Anyone else getting that?

Phil Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 I uninstalled it. Seems like a good idea, but as previous posters have said, it's a pain. And once uploaded, you've got to label it and archive it. It's not much different than mailing yourself an email attachment. I've just started uploading key files to my web host via FTP when making website changes. I can upload whole files, see what I have, and since I'm paying for 1000MB and using 30, why not?

I setup a filter that does both automatically
