tbone2sk Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I would go with a 6600gt with your system. it is under 200 and just right for your setup.
Byron Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Just wondering but what is your motherboard and also what is your video card (if there is one).

Byron Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 O.k so i'd recommend the 6600GT also just because of its price/performance ratio. It is a pretty good card for the price to be honest. The next step up would be a 6800, I really wouldnt go anything above that on your setup just because of the bottleneck of your proc. But you can go better if you want it for future upgrades :-P
spazmire11 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 how far would be too far? ie. would a 6800gt fit better for future games consideably? or would i not be able to see the differnce in all the 6800's? +would the aiw x800xt be comparable to a bfg 6800 oc 128mb? Byron Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 the x800xt would totally woop a regular 6800, if you want to go ati, i'd go with the x800xl just because it overclocks so well and can push out record scores.

MasterRex862 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Wow.... And I thought my score of 1789 in 3dMark05' was bad.. I think the 6600GT is what you should be looking at for your current system. Even better; spend ~ 50 less and get a worse card, aka 9800pro. I don't think you should be looking to upgrade on that older platform.
