UkJenT Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 (edited) K, this is my AMD 64 Winchester setup: AMD 64 Aspire 96.99 MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum. 139。99 AMD 64 3200 @ 2.0GHz 190.99 or AMD 64 3500 @ 2.2GHz 267.00 Lite-On CD-ROM/DVD/CD-R+RW 36.99 Sony Floppy Drive 8.99 ATI Radeon X800XL 299.89 Audigy 2 ZS 86.99 Maxtor 200 SATA 113 Patriot 225 Enermax 600W 159.00 LCD Monitor (Hopefully less than 200) I just plan to surf the net, listen to music, play games and much more. I hate lag. hehe. I love multitasking. I am not really a hardcore gamer. I game once in a while. The games I only play are C&C, all versions, warcraft III, WOW, Starcraft BW, Diablo 2 Exp and Lord of the Rings. If you think I should change something, by all means recommmend it. I don't have a spending limit, but I don't really need the Best of the BEST. Edited May 4, 2005 by UkJenT
Nedlinin Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 (edited) Do you really need the Audigy 2? -- most of the onboard sound on higher end motherboards is pretty good nowadays... EDIT: and I would take the 3200+ and overclock it... save the extra money ... you probably wont see that much performance boost out of the extra 200mhz Edited May 4, 2005 by Nedlinin
Nerm Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Looks good to me! If you are not a big gamer then I would suggest the 3200+ and use the money saved some place else.
Sovek Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 bleah, forget the winnie, go 3000+ Venice, but if you love multi-tasking and quickness I would suggest a hyper-threaded Intel, just get proper cooling.
