CoolMaster Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Like my ATI tool is saying my 9800xt is reaching like 65 degrees tops, while playing C&C generals is that like really bad, cause I feel it and it only feels like warm maybe ati tool reads wrong? cause my case temp never goes above 32 usually and my cpu temp always stays at like 55 tops and idles around 43 or so
tbone2sk Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 it might be time for a new cooler, or better air circulation in your case. That is hot for a 9800xt, and I would do something to fix it.

Nerm Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 lol, tbone is like me. We don't believe in warm temps, so even though your card isn't actually at risk if 65*C is as hot as it gets it just wouldn't cut it in our rigs haha. Are you using stock cooling? If so it may be time to look into better cooling for it.
Puck Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 ah people told me thats ok, EEP I dont know who to believe 471869[/snapback] Thats not too bad if you have the stock cooler. Look at the cooling tbone uses - he will probably flip if it passes 55 . If you're not out to do serious overclocking its fine, but an ati silencer will lower the card and case temps. **edit** lol nerm beat me to it(was gonna throw his name in there somewhere too) **edit**

Nerm Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 ^^^ They aren't bad! Better than stock cooling that is for sure.
CoolMaster Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Hmmm, anyone else have experience with them? are they better than the Arctic cooling perhaps?
