Guest Flashstar Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I haven't heard much of that one, but I have always had luck with the Abit ones. Some of them are around the same price. NF8 Always get the Nforce3 platform over the kt800.
guzzidom Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 If you are happy with no AGP locks, like the board you suggest, therefore no real overclocking abilities, look into my board for an extra $10, at least you can go 939/ dual channel at a later date withoute changing the mobo again http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-157-035&depa=1 Alternatively spend an extra $15 or so on an nforce 3 ultra board, which will let you clock your present chip up. Mind you, if you don't want to overclock and you are looking to keep your present cpu, that board will probably work just fine! ill_industries Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 go with the Abit mobo instead itll last longer and overclocks like a mofo
guzzidom Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 (edited) See if anyone stateside can find him something better under $70.00 (he's a bit short of cash), it's a bit harder from over here in the UK as I've only heard of Newegg (and thats from this forum) And I've just noticed from his sig and the board he is looking at he wants onboard graphics (eek!) Nerm Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 No, it sucks! for an s754 setup so far nothing tops the DFI LanParty UT nf3 or MSI K8N Neo.

Guest Raven65 Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Sheesh, guys why new egg all the time there are much more retail/wholesalers out there. Do a little investigating. Go to pricewatch.com or go to the modding section and try one of them. here are some good sites with super deals. Xtreme Gear JabTech Chief Value Dumping Goods, New and refurbed I would look at MSI, If you have a video card go with the K7N Delta, If not the K7N2G ILSR.
