Openbsd Vs Freebsd Vs Betbsd

So its that time of year again, I feel like taking a small break from windows, and since I'm too lazy to do LFS this spring, I though i might tread over to markie's raved about BSD world, Now, all i really need to know is the diff between Open,Free and NetBSD

lol I rave about it a bit too much don't I? I love it though...

 

OpenBSD = big focus on security... REALLY big focus on security. I think it's like... 1 exploit in the default install in 9 years now or something.

 

NetBSD = it'll run on your toaster (i.e pretty much anything out there)

 

FreeBSD = optimized for i386 and most popular basically :)

 

There's also DragonFlyBSD which is a fork off FreeBSD 4 which is taking a different approach to the SMP implementation. Their goal is, I think, to be able to do SSI. I read a bit about that and from what I can understand SSI (Single System Image) is basically a transparent clustering implementation. Sounds pretty exciting!
