Stupid Question

I need a second network port on my work computer. I have a Minolta cf910 color copier and my comp communicates with it through a feiry and my network port. The problem arose when they installed DSL here at the office. They don't want to connect the printer to the the network because no one else uses it, so there isn't any reason to.

But, my Dell here at the office (ikk), only has one network port. If I install a network card in one of the PCI slots would I be able to use both the stock port on the mobo and the card? Or should I just have them get me a netgear router for like 50 bucks? Note the network card would be a no cost option i can scavenge it from one of the computers we are throwing away, we just had an office upgrade.

thanks,

j5

ps. forgive my networking ignorance

if your running XP you can have multiple network connections. As long as you don't turn off the on board lan from the bios or uninstall it from the hardware manager they both should show up. Not sure if you can with other window OS's.
