JTWolfman Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 i have a question for any water cooling vet, the Eheim 1250 water pump, can it be tied into the psu without adding another cord to the others i have?
Guest matrax Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 No , because its a 110V not 12V and if it was possible they would already did that

Bosco Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Actually.. it might be possible to tie it right in to the A/C wires that go in to your PSU and that are soldered to the PSU printer circuit board.
cptkook Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 That's what I was going to try and do when I build my WC'd server. Cut a small hole in the PSU and solder straight to the AC leads and out to a relay. Figured it would be much cleaner that way. If you try it JT let us know how it worked out and some pics... T-shirt Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 while it will look cleaner, it won't swicth off and on with the computer. swiftech and acouple other places sell a relay box that does that. And I would be pretty simple to make your own, several guides exist on the web. One (I forgot where) included an inline flow swicth to prevent "I forgot!" or pump failure disasters.
