Ever Ridden In Or Seen An Exotic?

Recommended Posts

I've seen 3 or 4 1967-71 or so Corvettes, all Stingrays, in the last week. B:)

Plus a few h1s, plus several HMMWV (near a military base).

I've also seen Vipers, Ferraris, and worked on a Porsche. Those are all I can think of right now...

Mitsubishi 3000GT (aka GTO) VR4 version

- my mum's car, still is

Lotus Esprit S2 (aka James Bond amphibious car)

- part of my dad's long history of cars, sold long ago

Lotus Europa (60's racing car)

- another one of my dad's cars, his 2nd one in fact, it's in storage in England being restored (mostly cosmetic) but my dad had it running

I've seen so many exotic cars I can't remember all of them. Jaguar, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Dodge Viper, old Mini Coopers, more stuff I can't think of, etc.

Ridden in:

BMW Isetta (yes, Erkel's car)

Amphibious car (I don't know what kind/model it was)

Mercedes 300SL Gullwing

Ferrari (failry new, goin 90mph in second gear down an airport runway. it was his daily driver...)

a helicopter

I can't think of anything else right now

I drove the military version of the H1.

Oh yeah... I'm only 17.

porches and hummers are exotic? jeez even in the motor city they're all over the place.

Viper, Prowler, Ram SRT10 (almost bought one), Lambo LM's and stuff like that are much less common.

Don't know if it qualifys.. The neighbor I had several years ago left his 1926 "original owner" REO to his dippy grandson. This thing had a V 12 engine, as I recall, with 2 (!) distributers and the spark plug wires were really soild copper strips. It had soild wood spoke wheels that needed tires about every 20 years... made special off the original molds by Goodyear.. Now THAT was a trippy auto.
