Here is a quick dish I make at the firehouse.

I don't make sloppy Joe's. I make Sloppy Giuseppie's.

(I'm Italain)

Here is what you need.

3 to 4 puonds of the leanest ground beef.

2 bottles of Pats Hoe Made BBQ Sauce

2 Loaves of good Italian or even Cuban bread. (NO FRENCH, AMERICAN or HambBUNS)

First brown your beef.

when browned disgard 95% of the grease it produces.

Put back on stove and add the 2 jars of BBQ sauce. (must be petes for the correct flavor.)

Let simmer at low temp for about 15 mins.

While waiting cut your loaves of bread in half and then down the center . Don't cut all the way let it fold.

now pull some of the center of the bread out. make a nice pocket.

When simmering is over place a healthy amount of beef in the bread.

it won't be as messy and boy it is good, it's one of our fire station favorites.

Hope you have an Appetite!

sorry everyone my mistake, it's Pats bbq sauce. it says right on the bottle

Pats

Hoe Made

no joke.

Cuban bread is like Italian bread both kind of interchangeable. Your local supermarket should have both.
