Hey i was wondering if there are any programs that i can use to moniter the cpu temperature in linux. Im running fedora core 3.

no problem, but i'm just saying, with generic questions like these 9/10 google will provide more answers and provide them faster than we can.

that was the second link google gave me when i searched for "linux temperature monitor"

 

now, if you wanted to know which one of those was the best, then that'd definately be an OCC question. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, just trying to make your life (& mine :P) a little simpler ;)

 

edit: i just noticed that GKrellm wasn't on that list :lol:

Thats awesome man. thanks. But i cant seem to get any of them installed right... arg.. i wish i knew more about fedora.

Yeah. My compiler is messed up and i cant install GCC 3.3 properly.

 

EDIT: Nvm. i got gkrellm working. i found an rpm of it. Thanks for your help sdy284.

You will find that Fedora doesn't compile apps very well without facing some dependency problems. All Redhat distros are like that.

 

However, here are two other monitoring applications:

 

lmsensors and hwsensors.
