inevitab1e Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Seems my memory only supports about 225 HTT 1:1. Ran Memtest and came back with about 40 errors in test5 (00040000). People have said that errors are normal in test5. I hope so. I have tried lower multipliers but I would like to remain at 10 (locked). 225x10 now. Anyone have suggestions on gettin more mhz without buying better ram, I tried lower multipliers, but I had to have a divider on my ram. wanted to remain 1:1. thx for any feedback. Compxpert Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Value ram isn't for ocing. Just a reminder to ppl if you plan on ocing your comp don't buy chepo ram or valueram. (don't buy chepo anything period LOL)
r_target Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Use a divider so that you can crank up the CPU some more. Since you know the max on your RAM, grab the old calculator and figure out the best combination of RAM divider, multiplier, and CPU speed. hardnrg Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 i think my memory controller broke so i run a memory divider (166:200) and i get this: 10x 264 = 2.64 GHz cpu ram at 220mhz, 2-3-3-6-1T it ain't so bad with a divider after all
