MadMan Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 I have a question about my power supply...Its a 350Watt power supply in which I know is kinda low for my P4 and all the crap I have but right now I just ran into a problem...With my Volcano 7+ on high 1 of my 2 60 GB drives on raid will not boot up! I have to put the Volcano on Medium in order for it to have power...Is there anyway I can crank any more juice out of this??? I am looking to buy a new power supply right now becasue I plan on adding more fans SOON! Right now I have a DVD drive, CDRW, 20 GB Maxtor 5400, (2) 60 GB Maxtor 7200 ATA 133 on Raid 0, and the ThermalTake 7+ all running off of the 350W Power Supply...I would think that it would have enough power but if all my specs are here if you need to know any more. bass_freak Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 well if upping your fan speed prevents your computer from having enough juice to boot.....you will find a new power supply will greatly increase the speed of your computer..as its probly not able to function at 100% do to power restrants....might even run cooler since it will be running at proper conditions. Check and see what your +12 and +5v are running with a voltage meater....or a dig doc...anything along those lines. see how steady it is or does it hop around alot....
