i wonder if anyone can help me on this.

i am selling Pny verto Geforce4 MX4000 64mb ddr graphic card on e-bay.A potential buyer was asking me if this card would work on a AMD K6-2 class processer.he said he did research and this card might work,i just need a few feedback from some help on here and see if anyone would know the answer.I just told him the specs i listed from the box, here are the requirements for the processer....

Intel pentium 3,AMD Duron or Athlon class processer or higher

so would the AMD K6-2 class work with this,he specified it was on older system.

thanks for the help B)

Yea it will work. I got a K6-2 and I know by its benches its the eq of a PIII. I'm not that guy who asked for the card though. I could buy a better card but its not worth it. I could if the board was AGP compatible but sadly it isn't.

I've got an old spare AMD k6-2 550mhz system (which is the fastest K6-2 I believe) and with my spare 9600xt in it it plays Return to Castle Wolfenstien at about 30 fps, absolutely useless games cpu that one!, Good luck to your man with the mx4000!

lol no a k6-2 can't touch the pIII in benches. It was originally designed to compete with the pII, but it got thoroughly raped by that as well. The off-die L2 cache just kills its performance.

But anyway, yeah it will work. Just make sure that if it's an agp card he has an agp slot to put it in.
