Best 939 Agp8x?

Recommended Posts

okay, lets discuss some issues here:

IDE raid: part of the NF3 250 series chipset. does it with the regular IDE ports

SATA ports in the middle of the board: thank you Nvidia. that's where Nvidia says the are supposed to be

MSI K8N Neo2 problems: statistics.... pure and simple. if you sell 20,000,000 boards, and 2% are bad than it LOOKS worse than 2% of a board that's sold 2,000,000. also when the number of boards you've sold goes up so do the number of noobs and idiots that work with the boards. therefore you'll end up hearing about more people with problems on that board vs say an asrock board.

asus ugly pcb: they're all black now, and still have problems. I don't deal much with them anymore however the ones I do deal with all have problems (low number with high % of problems). just don't do it.

go pcie if you have a aiw 9800, you are better off, or hold off until agp 16x comes out

Thanks for the response, but the AIW9800 is AGP, not PCIE. I don't believe there is going to be an AGP16x, at least no time in the foreseeable future (or ever to be more accurate)--I'm fairly sure that everything is going to go PCIe in spite of AGP being perfectly reasonable technology.

  • 2 weeks later...

gah I love the aiw 9800 pro :P If you really want dual monitors, just do what i did. Grab an old pci graphics card and throw that in as secondary card. I stuck in a mx400 64mb I had lying around, and am happily running dual monitors. All games and crap use the primary display adatper, so it doesnt slow you down or anything, no matter how slow the card is. I'm sure you have an old graphics card or 2 lying around ;) The aiw x800xt is also out, and is fast as hell plus dual monitors on card. It did switch to digital tv tuner from the old analog, which is a bad move i think because now there is lag in the video input, so u cant play console games on the pc, and it doenst change channels instantly. I dont have one, but that is what i've read at a couple sites. I might just get a high end card and a dedicated analog tv tuner seperate next upgrade, because i love console games on computer monitors...well, i got a lot of time to save and think being that i just dropped about 700 bucks on a new system :'(...it'll hurt a lot less when the parts come in ;)

**edit**AIW x800xt,not x800xt**edit**

lol.. as deceptive as the title of this topic is, it would be hard not to notice that everyone is talking about motherboards (motherboards & bios section, two pictures of motherboards, every post is about motherboards)

:typing::lol:
