bigred Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 (edited) lol ur a maniac bigred. 517365[/snapback] sure am! and proud of it btw one of my top 10 goals in life is to win at least the Michigan Mudbog Drag Racing title. I've made it into the top 10 twice, but the last 2 years I've been a no show . between truck problems (snapped axle) 1 year and my knee this year it's been tough to win. new trans (9 speed manual), rebuilt and improved the motor, along with the supercharger, added a 2nd transfer case, and soon new 2 1/2 ton portal axles for the next run at it. along with a few tricks for the fuel mixtures that I haven yet to try out there... little diesel and a little JP5 added into the 97 octane that already runs thru it, should all lead to a few good power runs thru the mud next year. cdoggown Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 This is my new car. I plan to do a lot to it in order to prep it for show. I have already replaced the chrome grill with a black one, it looks much nicer now, but no new pics yet. My wife has a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE, the main reason I didnt even test drive the GTO, that Grand AM is the biggest dissapointment we have ever had the displeasure to own. Not that its a bad car, in fact it has been super-reliable and whatnot. Just that 3.4l 6 banger in there only pumps out 160hp... coming from a 97 STS was a huge shock. Missed my Northstar something awful, therefor... THE HEMI.
Mr_Yuck Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 1990 Volvo 240 Stationwagon 4cyl 2.3 Liter Engine (Specs sheet says 114HP at 5400RPM) 218,000 Miles JVC MP3 CD Stereo Thule Rack --3 Bike Racks (Dont even have to take off wheels) --Will probably remove one to make room for surfboard Heated Seats Power Locks and Windows 4-55 Air Conditioning (4 windows down, 55 miles per hour) Just got it yesterday for $1100, the overdrive didnt work, but a check of the fuses revealed that the fuse to the overdrive was shared by the rear window defroster, well..whaddya know, unplug the rear window defroster and replace the fuse, and there's the overdrive. Next Priorities: Pair of High Beams as one is out and it's more economical to purchase a pair and then use the old one as a spair Front Brake Repair as the rotors are slightly warped. Cosmetic repairs available at junkyard: New Front Grille Cover New Bumpers (replacements for the plastic assemblies) My favorite comment on it: "its hideous!! what is that???! is that HIS car??" --my GF's sister
