ok it seems like my board doesnt like unreal tournament 2004. its been . me off. i might follow a new formula. ut2k4+msi neo2= rma. but other than that, the other games i tried work fine. is there something wrong? im using my plextor 40/12/40 with the lastest firmware. the computer locks up on the second disk during setup and when i just copy the files to the hdd directly from the cd. looks like im gonna have to yank out a different drive and try to run ut2k4 setup again.

Sounds like you might have a bad disk. Do you have a second computer? If so try copying the files with that machine and see what happens.

That's a good idea. My son came up with that about 5 years ago. He's 10 now. I was having a similar problem and getting really frustrated. He came up and said "Daddy why don't you just use another drive?"

Danged if it didn't work. I'm so proud of my nerd son!! :D

yay its installing, im using my dads samsung cd drive from his hp and so far so good. now i guess my cd burner is worn out badly probably. i did clean the lens but that didnt help for it any ways, should i get a sata dvd buner? or stick with ide, im thinking of staying with ide for cds and burning. i really dont need a dvd burner but i am looking at that nice plextor sata dvd burner. so what do you think, ide cd burner or sata dvd burner either way its going to be a plextor.
