swifty11212 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 ok it seems like my board doesnt like unreal tournament 2004. its been . me off. i might follow a new formula. ut2k4+msi neo2= rma. but other than that, the other games i tried work fine. is there something wrong? im using my plextor 40/12/40 with the lastest firmware. the computer locks up on the second disk during setup and when i just copy the files to the hdd directly from the cd. looks like im gonna have to yank out a different drive and try to run ut2k4 setup again. Do you have a second computer? If so try copying the files with that machine and see what happens.

My son came up with that about 5 years ago. He's 10 now. I was having a similar problem and getting really frustrated. He came up and said "Daddy why don't you just use another drive?" Danged if it didn't work. I'm so proud of my nerd son!!

imm0rt41 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 If it turns out that it is just that disk that is having trouble reading, go download a program that can make disk images and image and reburn the CD.

Vasto Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 Download the image off of limewire, than just load it onto a virtual drive using Dameon Tools. Thats what I did with my Homeworld 2 disc that broke.
