DavidPartay Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Does anyone know of any good overclocking/underclocking software? I have a P3 500, and my SB Audigy is having issues with it, so I'm actually going to experiment a little bit with some UNDERclocking. Unfortunately, if I change the FSB in the BIOS, it stops my computer booting up and I have to reset the BIOS. I also cannot change the multiplier, which is a shame. So I'm on the lookout for overclocking software! I used to have a program, and I'll have a look for it sometime but if someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it

vyroburn Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I dont know you are gonna have trouble OCing if the board doesnt support any FSB changes or Voltage changes, My bet would be that you wont be able to overclock it very easily, so, have fun its a good learning experience,
DavidPartay Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Posey - it would be more helpful if you could give me a site where I could get it or something . I wouldn't have a problem if the computer still booted up after I change the FSB in the BIOS. The computer is supposed to be doing 100x5, as in 500mhz, so I took it down to 82x5 or something and it didn't come up, which was irritating... So whoooo knows... I don't really feel like not being able to boot up again

DavidPartay Posted December 29, 2002 Posted December 29, 2002 Well, I tried it, but my motherboard type and stuff aren't in there, and I couldn't be bothered setting it up properly on the other hand, I bit the bullet and tried to increase the FSB in my BIOS, and it worked!!! I'm trying it at 112 now, so the computer is doing 560 and I'm gonna get a utility to monitor the temperate - I'm assuming that I'm fairly safe as long as the temperature stays below 50? thanks!
