I'm wanting to smash through 12k put dont want to fry any of my components!!

Any advise?

My temps are:

CPU 1.7V : 40c Idol 56c Full Load

GPU 420/1.1GHZ : 53C Idol 71c Full Load

RAM is PC2700 @ 2.7v 2.3.3.5 @ 205Mhz 410Mhz (DDR) FSB

All stable (Memtest and Prime95 24hrs )

I think my HDD may be holding me back any idears?

Also one question my AMD Athlon seems to be holding it's own against AMD64's and Fast P4's with S-ATA drives would I really get any benefit from upgrading?

you probably wouldnt notice any difference but why does 3dmark03 say you have a 3200+ while you have a 2500+? nice bench btw.

Cuz it goes by clock speed. His 2500+ is overclocked to 2.3, or about 3200+ speeds.

I've been searching through other benches and other rigs with AMD64 3500 with Cosair PC3200 + 6800 Ultras seem to be around 12,200 it would cost me quite alot of money to change my RAM - CPU - MOTHERBOARD - HDD for a gain of less than a 1000 Marks?

What do you think?

I'm very happy with how the old dog is going at the moment but i've got the bug now!!

As for why it's showing up as a AMD3200+ i'm not too sure as its doing it in my BIOS as well! As evanin said I think it estimates it by clock speed.

Thanks for all your imput.

Just hit 5049 in 3DMark05 and 4021 IN PCMark04 so a bit of work left yet!!!

03 and 05 are mainly video benches anyway. What are you getting on 01? Everyone seems to still run it because it's kind of a full rig bench. You'd see a dramatic improvement in 01 with an A64. Like 5000 points or more. Try running Aquamark also.

Not to steal your thread or anything but with the rig in my sig, I get 8659 in 03. Does that seem right or is there something holding me back?

I'd imagine it would be your 6800NU and also is that PC2700 Running @ 333Mhz?

Apart from that I think that 9000 or there around is about right for the 6800nu maybe some of the other will have a more indepth answer for you.
