Cheap Ram

Recommended Posts

I want to get 1 gig of pc-3200 (2X512) and i do not plan on overclocking it.

I was thinking Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200

untill i was told it was crap so i pushed my budget as far as it can go to get two sticks of

OCZ Enhanced Latency Series 184 Pin 512MB PC-3200 Platinum Edition

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-146-889&depa=0

it this a good choice because i would like to get cheaper RAM but still good performance. I am not set on getting one of the two they were just recommended to me, so if you have a better choice then tell me.

once again i do not plan on overclocking the RAM so i dont care it it doesent overclock well.

If you don't plan on overclocking, then any name brand pc3200 ram will work just fine. The more expensive stuff has better timings, and often will overclock better.

I have Pdp 3200 Low latency ram and its great. I tighten the timings to 2-2-2-2 and its stable. I did notice a small gain running it like that from its spd settings. And for the money I dont think you will get better ram.

New egg sells it but I found it on outpost a week later for cheaper.
