ATI Radeon 8500 Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 Any of you guys used the Plantronic DSP-500...I found it for $66 so it is not that much more than getting a decent pair of headphones and a mic. Since my headphones and mic already both suck (the mic more than the headphones) I want a new headset for gaming so how does it sound? ATI Radeon 8500 Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 If you are a gamer you'll prefer the directional/surround sound of a headset over a conventional speaker system even with surround. Plus it's a lot cheaper to get a good headset versus a Klipsch 5.1 or other high-end 5.1 computer speaker system. Anyway these don't even plug into portable CD players since they use USB.
